LTN Global Communications’ IP Transmission Service Utilized by BaylorVision for Distribution of Live Sporting Events

Savage, MD, April 11, 2016 – LTN Global Communications, Inc. (“LTN”), a global leader in fully-managed broadcast quality IP video transport solutions, has been chosen by Baylor University to deliver Baylor’s live sporting events to Fox Sports Southwest.

As part of the Big 12 Conference, Baylor retains the rights to a significant number of non-conference games and Olympic sports. By installing the LTN LEAF, a single integrated unit combining an LTN embedded appliance, encoder and decoder, along with the functionality to transmit and receive live video via LTN’s fully-managed Global IP Network, BaylorVision has been able to expand the number of sporting events delivered to Fox Sports Southwest while lowering their overall expenses.

(“Sinclair”), www.sbgi.net, to distribute COMET, the first ever 24/7 science fiction multi-channel network, which is a joint venture between Sinclair Television Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (“MGM”).

In an unprecedented time frame of sixty (60) days, LTN delivered COMET in a 16:9 SD format to an initial sixty-four (64) Sinclair stations. Historically, this was the fastest rollout of a digital subcarrier channel to the market. Since then, COMET has been rolled out to an additional fifteen (15) stations.

NASL Opens New Season With Advances in Video Production, Distribution

When the North American Soccer League (NASL) campaign kicks off with a five-game slate on Saturday, it’ll be the dawn of a new live-video era for the league.

During the off months between the NASL’s fall and spring seasons, league brass put a strong focus on improving the quality of the live production and distribution of club matches. In addition to designing new streaming and production standards at each of its 11 venues, the league also struck a deal with ESPN for at least 120 matches to be carried on ESPN3.
