Job Opening: Web Application Engineer 


The Web Application Engineer will design and develop applications, features, and tools for LTN’s cutting-edge video transport service. The engineer will be a key developer of business critical web services for the LTN network and services and create integral components of the LTN portal, the core interface to LTN’s video delivery service. The engineer will be able to evaluate tradeoffs between different technology architectures and develop best in class services that are fast, reliable, secure, and highly available. 

Experience/Required Skills

-        Experienced python developer

-        Experience with web technologies and frameworks and standard web backend protocols (Java Script, HTTP, REST, SQL)

-        Experience creating REST APIs for public services

-        Experience with AJAX JSON, JQUERY

-        Experience in designing and building scalable and high performance applications.

-        Experience with developing in a Linux environment.

-        Strong conceptual skills

-        Knowledge of usability principles, issues, and techniques

-        Creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

-        Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

-        Initiative and ability to work independently, and as part of a small team

-        BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering 


-        Advanced skills in C/C++, functional programming

-        Experience with network communication protocols

-        Experience with graphical representation of data in web sites

-        Experience deploying and maintaining high scale web services
