Job Opening: Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer is part of LTN’s core engineering team and plays a key role in building and maintaining the LTN service to ensure the highest level of reliability and performance.


-        Support a unique multi-datacenter highly available service

-        Build out, maintain, and troubleshoot a rapidly expanding infrastructure

-        Develop and integrate tools to solve real operational challenges including tools for scaling and managing a large complex distributed system, automation processes, and solutions to improve system scaling and performance

-        Design, build, and deploy tools for live system monitoring and alerting and for enabling data collection, analysis and reporting

-        Investigate and resolve complex system performance issues

-       System administration of supporting infrastructure

Experience and Required Skills

-      Advanced scripting skills in Bash

-      Software development in Python and C/C++ or Java

-      Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting in Linux based environments

-      Strong technical skills, and good communication skills

-      Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

-      Initiative and ability to work independently, and as part of a team in a fast paced environment

-      BS/MS  in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field


-     Experience in building, designing and supporting large-scale systems

-     Linux/Unix system administration skills

-     Experience with automation software (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)

-     Operational experience in a production service environment 

-     Experience with web technologies, APIs and frameworks

-     Experience with performance monitoring and troubleshooting of Linux systems

-     Solid understanding of networking

-     In depth experience with distributed systems
